So, we've got a tooth that showed up the other day! The other is on its way. We are paying for it dearly but not as bad as with Jaden, so that is good! She got her bottom right tooth, is that her incisor? I can't remember, but it's her two front bottom teeth. She is a drooly mess and very overtired, hard to get to sleep at night. It's all good, though because it means we only have 19 to go! ha!

Happy 6 Months!
I can't believe Mackenna is already six months old! She is getting to be such a character! We started feeding her rice cereal on Saturday. The first time it was a bit too thick and she promptly threw it all up. Yesterday she kept it down but wasn't too interested in it, made funny faces. Today she was crazy! She would lean in to get more with her mouth wide open. It was too funny! She was sitting in the bumbo because the high chair is still a bit big for her, she falls over in it. She would lean forward to get at the spoon almost like she was diving for it. I think for a while this is going to be a two person deal. One person to hold her still and her hands down and one to feed her.
She is developing a little personality! She loves to blow raspberries on people's arms as they carry her or hold her. She likes to sort of spit, not very lady-like, but it's all apart of getting her mouth and tongue ready to start talking! She weighs 19 lbs. She will soon be out of her infant seat. THANK GOD!! She is so heavy to carry in it! We will have to start looking for a convertible car seat soon. Like now, actually. By the time we get it she will be over the limit for ours, I believe.
Mommy is having fun these days with Jaden and Mackenna and also making and having a little marketing fun with Mud Butt Cloth Diapers. I created a fan page on Facebook and it is just so darn fun! It's like a little community!! We have fun contests and people can post pics of their kids in their dipes, have discussions, etc. Really really fun! We have a contest going right now called, "Create your own Mud Butt" where people choose from a list of 'ingredients' (all my dipes are named after foods and beverages) and then they name it. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place all get prizes. There are a ton of entries and they are really really creative! As soon as the contest is done folks will be able to order their signature Mud Butt! If you want in on the fun you can 'like' our fan page at www.facebook.com/mudbuttclothdiapers I don't believe you have to have FB to see the page but to comment or "like" it you have to have FB.
As the 'lazy' days of summer (can't really call them that this summer as we have been sooo busy) are about to turn into the even busier days of fall. Mackenna will be starting a number of activities (Jaden, too) MOPS on Tuesdays, ECFE on Wed or Friday (I think) and Sunday School. Plus we'll probably continue our play dates with friends.
I will post some more pics in the next few days!!
Oh, and there is some big news... if you have checked out my friend, Heather's blog (Have Love Will Travel check it out on the link to the right) you will see that they finally got their referral!! YEA!!! Can't wait to welcome the new little guy!

Wow, I can't believe I have been neglecting this poor little blog but we have been BUSY!! Lots to write about!
But first... a Redneck moment... at this very moment I am looking out the sliding glass door and watching two dudes with cigarettes hanging from their lips trolling now more than 2 inches from the dock... IN BETWEEN the dock and the raft, mind you, a BIG lake no no. I should really take a picture but don't want to get out of my comfy chair. OK, sorry if the redneck thing was offensive but we get some doosies out here. ***up to the minute update... It's POURING... I wonder what our poor fishermen are doing now!
Ok, the news from Lake Florida:
Mackenna is HUGE, weighing in at 17.5 lbs and a CHUB ROCK! Her thighs are mammoth! She is a happy, healthy baby! Her hair is really starting to grow in now, a pretty light brown with the slightest red highlights to it. Her eyes haven't changed. They are a gorgeous blue color. She is beginning to try to babble. She moves her lips when we do. She echoes sounds that we make. She is just starting to become aware of strangers and can get quite upset sometimes. She is a MAJOR cuddler. She still likes to be swaddled, can't quite get to sleep without it but is able to roll back over if she flips to her tummy. She is VERY strong. She loves tummy time and will literally lay there, propped up on her hands or elbows for a half hour or more. She obviously has very strong back muscles! She is a good eater and will soon try cereal at 6 months.
Big news! Mackenna and Jaden have two new cousins!! Babies Meredith and Josua were born on 08/09/10 at 12:11!! They are so cute and look teeny tiny compared to Mackenna. Auntie Nik is doing well, learning how to take care of twins. It's good to have them back home next door.
Mud Butt news: Sales are coming along thanks to our gorgeous models, Mackenna and Jaden! I am currently SOLD OUT of my in-stock diapers! I am already thinking of new and fun things to offer/change to make the dipes unique. It's fun coming up with all the names. Each dipe is named after a food that it looks like: Peppermint Bum Bum is sage green with brown snaps for example. I just thought of this one today as I have some red PUL on the way: Spaghetti with meatballs- red PUL with brown snaps! It is just fun getting to know other mamas out there who cloth diaper, hearing their stories! It has certainly fulfilled my need to let my creativity out!
Mackenna and Jaden made their first trek to Duluth last weekend for a wedding of a former youth from Bethel. Congrats Chris and Jessica! What a fun time. We got to stay at the cooolest hotel right on the water in Canal Park. Really awesome. We got to spend some time at park Point and at canal park. the wedding was at the Aquarium which was beyond awesome. If you haven't been to the new aquarium yet you HAVE to go. It is soo cool!
