Happy Birthday to Mackenna!

I am plumb tuckered out so this is going to be short and sweet, more of a 'wordless Thursday', so go ahead and just take a look at the pics! But for a bit of an explanation, we got to spend the afternoon with Mackenna's birth families. It was great fun and I got some really cute pics.

Mackenna is ONE!

I am feeling like a horrible parent today. I hardly got ANY pictures of Little Miss today. We had a fabulous day, though. It started by spending the morning and lunch hour with her some of her main men, Jaden, Seth, Oliver, and Micah and gal pal, Addilyn. She busied herself by stealing binkies all morning. She decided she really likes this yummy chicken spaghetti bake that Disa made. She decided she was too old to take afternoon naps so by the time Megan and Madison got here after school she was in a ripe rare mood. Actually she was pretty good for not having napped. We celebrated by all eating a cupcake. This time I went for the unfrosted ones. She didn't need a bath afterwards this time!After that it was pretty much routine as usual, a little play time with daddy, some supper, jammies, a bottle, and off to pleasant dreams.

Tonight was the night!

A year ago today was when we got the call from Lisa that Satin's water had broken. I was at the YMCA with Madison and Jaden and I got the call when we had gotten back in the car to go home. I remember calling Brett to tell him to hurry up at work because we had to get Jaden to Grandma Pat's so we could be off to Hutch. What a crazy, tiring, exciting night! I have been aweful about updating. Arggh. We've got so many great pictures to share, so here goes...

I learned one new thing about Jaden yesterday. He apparently loves photo shoots. I had just finished taking Mackenna's pic for her birthday invites and he wanted in on the action, too. He seriously puts the Zoolander guys to shame. He certainly has his trademarked look. He would NOT put his toungue back in his mouth the whole time. I have 100 pictures of him sticking out his tongue. Here are just a few.
Our boy has the most INCREDIBLE blue eyes. If you have ever seen them up close they have this crazy pattern that looks like flower petals around his pupil.
